A bridesmaid has many functions, but first and foremost you are there to make the bride happy and give her a helping hand with the planning.

Brides tend to forget that while they’re 100% committed in planning their wedding, the rest of the world isn’t. Try your best to be enthusiastic and inquisitive, remember that this is an exciting time and one day it will be you.

Bridesmaids usually wear outfits chosen by the bride. Traditionally, these are paid for by the bridesmaids (unlucky). Thankfully nowadays payment is normally shared between you and sometimes even paid for by her dad.

Once you add up the cost of the shoes, makeup, dresses, accessories, not to mention the champagne, it can be an expensive business!! The bride’s choice of bridesmaids’ dresses will depend on several factors; most importantly what she is wearing herself. If she chooses a long elaborate gown, then you will properly be similar. If, however she decides to marry in a shorter, simpler style, then it would look stupid if she made you put on a bright orange number with frills and flounces (thank God!).

Remember to make time for dress fittings. As chief bridesmaid, you should co-ordinate the other bridesmaids. All the bridesmaids should meet up at least once before the wedding day, and you should take the lead in organising it.

As chief bridesmaid, it’s your job to organise the bride’s hen night or final-fling party what ever you want to call it, before she becomes a married woman. It doesn’t have to be all L-plates and Firemen, (unless that’s what turns you on). Simply fill in the enquiry form requesting help on this subject and let us do the work for you. After all you already have loads to do..

Let us know what idea you have and between us, you will have a girlie weekend to be proud of. The best advice we can give you is to check with the bride beforehand, just so you know what kind of do she’s hoping for...check our special offers page

Top Hints and Tips!

Organizing Your Mates Is No Walk In The Park!

Their Boyfriends have been trying for years, their mothers before that and now you think you can do it - think again!

Organizing a Hen Party can be a nightmare.

We try to make it as painless as possible as we know just how hard it can be.

If we could offer you just one piece of advice for the future it would be this...

Get the Cash Up Front, Get Lots of It and Don’t Give Any Back Under Any Circumstances!

The more deposit your Friends have paid the less likely they will back out and leave you holding the baby. We suggest you take a minimum deposit of £50 per person for the event. We only require 30% per person.

We can either hold the rest for you against the final balance or you can hold it yourself. The point is you have the cash and you’re not giving it back....unless they have a bloody good excuse like they just died or something!
