From spring onwards the mountain melt waters swell the rivers that pass through Chamonix and the surrounding valleys creating some world class rafting well into the summer months. The Mont Blanc region offers outstanding rafting territory. On our doorstep in Chamonix we have the fairly gentle L’Arve but in nearby Italy are the word famous class 4 rated rapids of the Dora Baltea.
