Edinburgh’s reputation is for festivals and events rather than nightlife, but at least the relaxed licensing hours mean most city-centre bars are open until 1am, and some stay open until 3am (the bulk of the city’s DJ bars are in the Old Town’s narrow wynds and side streets). This is perfect for stag weekends and hen weekends as drinking after that, you tend to miss the next day.
