Brighton has an amazing amount of pubs and bars (Hove has quite a few too), supposedly one for every day of the year so stag weekends and hen weekends are spoilt for choice. The great Hanover residential area especially, seems to have a pub for every 10 inhabitants.
Brighton's pubs range from small cosy Victorian front rooms, converted churches to large theme pubs housing every video game imaginable. Definitely there's a pub for every conceivable taste. Many pubs serve very good food, others stage live music, some even have karaoke but all serve great beer.
